SOPA & PIPA have been halted for now, but PCIPA is now getting pushed!

With the continuing campaigns for Internet-censoring litigation such as SOPA and PIPA, and the closure of sites such as Megaupload under allegations of 'piracy' and 'conspiracy', the time has come to take a stand against music, film and media companies' lobbyists.

The only way to hit them where it truly hurts... Their profit margins.

Do not buy a single record. Do not download a single song, legally or illegally. Do not go to see a single film in cinemas, or download a copy. Do not buy a DVD in the stores. Do not buy a videogame. Do not buy a single book or magazine.

Wait the 4 weeks to buy them in April, see the film later, etc. Holding out for just 4 weeks will lave a gaping hole in the media and entertainment companies' profits for the 1st quarter. An economic hit which will in turn be observed by governments worldwide as stocks and shares will blip from a large enough loss of incomes.

Under SOPA you could get FIVE YEARS for uploading a Michael Jackson song. That's one year more than the doctor who killed him.

Amen, the US govt wants to be world police for the corporations on the internet too. Too bad they dont have anything better to do like replacing coal and nuclear energy with windmills or something like the rest of the world...

The corporations are going crazy right now. Gmail just sent me my 5th email telling me they are reducing privacy accross the board again, then they pepper my inbox full of ads based on my inbox. I quickly installed firefox and adblock plus at this internet cafe before they could assault my brain while browsing emails anymore. Youtube is virtually unusable, because of the intensive advertising. This continues while the lobbyists and creeps aggressively trying to destroy net neutrality. Still the greatest assasination of net freedom is when they killed netscape, specifically netscape gold 3.04 It allowed anyone to easily create an independent website and instantly copy the scripts of entire websites at the click of a button. It was brilliant.

ABOUT EBC

It wasn't long after 9/11, September 11, 2001, that I began this website. I felt compelled to connect with other people around the globe. I had recently heard about "weblogs" or "blogs" and I dove right into Blogger.com. I searched for others to connect with online and I found Ageless. It led to meeting many great friends to discuss events of the day. From then on it snowballed. Most importantly we offered one another support and friendship across the globe; finding that we were just a few keystrokes away.
