I decided to "spotlight" a couple of my favorite blog reads today. Do you ever see a weblog you wish you'd written? That's how I feel about Anne's, Am I There Yet? Anne's writing grabs you with her unrelenting wit and style from the get. She can't help it. Talent oozes from her. Another favorite is Ailina's, Paper Bent. With five kids, she is just 28, and very much in love with her husband. And she writes beautifully from the heart. Another thing I enjoy about both sites, is the personality they exude.

I like my favorites to have soul. The same way I like friends. My hb and I established this phrase long ago to determine whether or not we liked someone. This would describe in a few words what we needed to convey and has since become a staple in our cupboard of conversation. As in, "he has a lotta soul," or "he has no soul". Usually those with it, can easily empathize, have survived something insurmountable, been knocked down and they've picked themself up. Could sing the blues, for real. The more soul you have, the more I understand you. If you're souless, I'll never get you.

Just great. Although we'd left the water dripping, the water pipes burst in our rental unit. And we're currently showing it. Maybe we can rent to a plumber at a reduced rate? If it's not one thing, it's ten thousand things.
