Good Morning! Super Bowl Sunday involves lots of advance preparation. The officials have devised a plan, known as "Operation Game Day," and it's part of a $9 million post-Sept. 11 anti-terrorism effort that includes beefed up security at the California-Mexico border, a no-fly zone over the stadium, military air patrols and an elaborate camera system monitoring every inch of the stadium and environs. Also Arab-American groups estimated at least 36 people have been detained as part of this plan. It's sure an eye opener to realize what preparation's involved for the Super Bowl. Although detaining stadium workers seems to be carrying things a little too far. And I really hadn't thought about it before, but Jen at J-Mo mentioned that the game is an East/West thing. In that case, I'd have to pull for Tampa Bay. Their qb went to Owens' High School in Black Mountain, NC; the same county as I'm in.

Say, how are those New Year's Resolutions working out for you? I'm right on course; since I didn't make any.

Johnny B mentioned seeing the movie, "Signs" and liked it alright. I should be able to find it on one of my channels soon. What else is good to watch that I'm overlooking on HBO, Cinemax, PPV, etc? I've seen many good movies on IFC, Independant Film Channel and the Sundance channels. Some highlights of the Sundance Film Festival can be found here and here. I enjoy most of all discovering a good movie that hasn't ridden the publicity machine but is loaded with talent and has a great character driven story.
