And just when I thought it couldn’t possibly get worse… A quick Google search corrected me…

Mount Finlayson, a beautiful mountain overlooking Goldstream where the salmon spawn here (and where the bears used to feed playing a key role in the eco-system as the bears would then fertilize the forested hinterland) is from where I first observed bear mountain being destroyed and turned into a monstrosity a decade or so ago. And now as surreal it can possibly be, they are planning to build a Gondola right to the top of Mt. Finlayson connecting it to bear mountain and massive further developments built with the money which is being gained from 'Bear mountain' by a group ironically called “Ecoasis.”

And the new interchange involved the demolition of a sacred cave of the indigenous peoples.
