Burning Man - August 29 - September 5, 2011

Occupants bathed in neon-green light, what would become more widely known as “the Belgian Waffle” was a dance club. And of course, on the final night, it burned.

This post offers a brief history of electronic dance music culture at Burning Man.

I found particularly interesting the ongoing riffs between techno vs all the other types of music-- desert territorial stuff.

I continue to bow to the hipness of global guru Graham St John who can fill you in on anything underground festival related, psytrance, dance cult, etc. Be sure and see his photos and posts on his long running blog, Edgecentral.

ABOUT EBC

It wasn't long after 9/11, September 11, 2001, that I began this website. I felt compelled to connect with other people around the globe. I had recently heard about "weblogs" or "blogs" and I dove right into Blogger.com. I searched for others to connect with online and I found Ageless. It led to meeting many great friends to discuss events of the day. From then on it snowballed. Most importantly we offered one another support and friendship across the globe; finding that we were just a few keystrokes away.
