"These good folks of New Orleans and the surrounding areas are resilient. And we're gonna build a bigger and better New Orleans just as quickly as we can. Let's all sing Kumbaya together," Bush didn't say as he and Muffy grabbed another photo op in Lousiana today. [pic found at maru's]

Laurie from Slowly She Turned hosted the Tarheel Tavern this Labor Day weekend, showing glimpses into NC bloggers lives. Snort a Sproket doles out a slew of Fuck You's to appropriate offenders of the Hurricane disaster clusterfuck. After ranting and crying all week, a few well placed fuck-yous do seem to fit nicely.

New Rule: Oil companies must stop with the advertisements implying they're friends of the environment. "At ExxonMobil, we care about a thriving wildlife." Please, the only thing an oil executive has in common with a seagull is that they would both steal French fries from a baby.

If you must drill, drill in the uninterupted wilderness of Bush's mind.

Fire up the ol' grill, and put on another kettle because I may stop by for dinner this evening. Many have the day off for Labor Day here in the US. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

ABOUT EBC

It wasn't long after 9/11, September 11, 2001, that I began this website. I felt compelled to connect with other people around the globe. I had recently heard about "weblogs" or "blogs" and I dove right into Blogger.com. I searched for others to connect with online and I found Ageless. It led to meeting many great friends to discuss events of the day. From then on it snowballed. Most importantly we offered one another support and friendship across the globe; finding that we were just a few keystrokes away.
