Good Morning... !

Wow. What fascinating reading from blogger, Kevin Sites, an award-winning CNN correspondent in Iraq. Go take a look if you haven't already. [via: blogdex]

In April last year, I mentioned a girl I knew from college. Her name was Xenia Zed. I've seen twice this past year where someone has searched my site for her name. But probably leave scratching their head because I didn't have many details. So, Xenia, if you visit again, maybe I can explain a little better. We were both Art majors. I stayed in Dossett Hall at ETSU my first year with Arfus Apple and Suzy Creamcheese and Kathy Motley and played the twelve-string. I had an old navy VW van I'd painted the moon and stars on. You had that cream Volvo then. I believe we first met when we had a Drawing Class together or at a party at Montrose and I believe I was crazy about Phil Bryant at the time. I thought he looked like Jim Morrison; fringed suede pants and all. Email me if you get the chance. I hope you are well.

Crystal, aka Crink, has a post about her dear father who sadly passed away this week. He had a favorite saying that they've put on his stone: "I didn't come to sit in the saddle. I came to make the ride." I bet he was one hell of a guy.

Stopping by her site reminded me of another site she's mentioned before. The Asian Prince's site. Ever heard of it? I'm not quite sure what to make of it, but do visit with tongue firmly planted in cheek. Crink is an interesting southern girl. She has a regular day job, and is also the lead singer of a local band in South Carolina. You can read more about all that at her site.

haiku for you
Stiletto heels, red lips...
"Nice dress," he said. "Take it off."
"You've not paid for it."

ABOUT EBC

It wasn't long after 9/11, September 11, 2001, that I began this website. I felt compelled to connect with other people around the globe. I had recently heard about "weblogs" or "blogs" and I dove right into Blogger.com. I searched for others to connect with online and I found Ageless. It led to meeting many great friends to discuss events of the day. From then on it snowballed. Most importantly we offered one another support and friendship across the globe; finding that we were just a few keystrokes away.
